Logistically this was a very challenging site as traffic was always heavy on Shaftesbury Avenue and the side streets are on way, meaning co-ordination and management of deliveries and skip lorries was of crucial importance. A thorough traffic management plan was drawn up prior to commencement of works to ensure minimal disruption to the public traffic and neighboring businesses along Shaftesbury Avenue.
Due to a client commitment to have the finished offices available to let by September 2018, with works only commencing in January 2018, we worked double shifts, 7 days a week to complete the soft strip of the office floors within 10 weeks, with the basement plant being completed 2 weeks later.
BibbEgan achieved a 100% diversion from landfill on the demolition arisings.
