  • To educate and inform persons involved in the appointment of demolition contractors.

James Bibbey of BibbEgan, Demolition’s Resource and Efficiency lecturer

James is a widely respected demolition professional with over 22 years of commercial, project management, site supervision and operations experience in the UK construction industry. His knowledge and expertise embrace the full spectrum of demolition activities, including hard and soft interior stripping, asbestos and hazardous waste removal, ground works, concrete breaking and crushing, and site remediation.

His driving force is to challenge the way the demolition industry operates, seeking innovative ways to break traditional workplace boundaries. Using cutting-edge machinery and techniques, and focusing on CPD for the whole workforce, he ensures every project is cost-effective, safe and to schedule.

James’ high level of commitment to sustainable development processes has elevated BibbEgan’s reputation as an industry-leader, with an unprecedented level of recycling and reclamation of waste building products at the end-of-life cycle, adding to the circular economy.

With responsibility for Health & Safety, James takes care of the well-being of employees and members of the public who may be affected by BibbEgan’s activities. To this end, he provides high quality training, integrates good H&S management with company policies and business decisions, and, with effective upward and downward communication, engages the workforce in the promotion and achievement of safe and healthy conditions for all.

During his career at General Demolition, and as a founding director of Tower Demolition, and now BibbEgan Demolition and Strip Out, James has worked on projects throughout the south, London, Southwest and Southeast of England.
